		<description>I saw the start of this post this morning, but didn&#039;t want to deal with it then. I read your analysis and you are dead on.

Another point to make is the long-term effect of the trade. Had the Packers kept Favre, they might have been better this season (but given the way that Rodgers has played, there&#039;s no guarantee of that), but what happens one, two or five years down the road? Had the Packers brought Favre back, Rodgers wouldn&#039;t have re-signed and Green Bay would be left with a big hole at QB once Favre did retire. That could be this year or it could be two years from now, it doesn&#039;t matter, they&#039;d still be f#$ked at QB.

Now they&#039;ve got their QB locked up and by most accounts, he&#039;s a very good one. They need to address the defense and their discipline. Those are the reasons that the Packers are floundering at 5-7.

I&#039;m rooting for the Jets. The better they do, the better the draft pick the Packers will get in return.</description>
