Should I start Tyler Thigpen or Jay Cutler this week?
Raj – You’re welcome. That makes me feel better after steering Mike the wrong way last night. I hope he didn’t take my advice.
Anyway, you only listed two RBs – Dunn and Jackson – are those your only options?
At WR, you’ll definitely want to start Smith. The other two spots are a little tough, but going with matchups, Evans and Moss look like the right plays. ATL was great against the pass last week in SD. Starting Evans is a little dicey, but he has 12 catches over the last two weeks, so he’s (somewhat) safe.
At K, Rackers should be fine. He’s playing STL who gives up a ton of points and he’s kicking in a dome. Better not to mess with GB kickers in December.
On DT, are ARI or DEN available? I’d rather start those two defenses over the two you listed. I’d start ARI over DEN.
Dennis – Wow, nice situation to be in. I think I’m actually going to recommend that you start Slaton and Hillis. They both have great matchups while Gore’s is mediocre.
At WR, I would recommend Royal, Hixon and Coles. Bryant’s matchup with CAR is kind of tough.
Edgery – I’d definitely go with Cutler.
I am in a non-PPR league. Who do I choose between:
1. Marshawn Lynch and Peyton Hillis (planning to pick him up from the wire)
2. Greg Jennings and Randy Moss
3. Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten
4. Steelers Defense and Ravens Defense
Pradeep – I would normally say go with your stud, but Hillis is on fire and has a great matchup with KC this week.
2. Jennings has been more reliable.
3. PIT has a tough D so I would go with Gonzo who has been more consistent of late.
4. Neither defense has a particularly good matchup, so I’d go with PIT because they have been playing well of late.
Actually I also have DeAngelo Williams.

I’d definitely start Williams. He has been on fire of late. Keep an eye on Jackson this week, if he’s practicing and it looks like he’s going to play, then you can start him. Otherwise, Dunn is a somewhat solid start, though CAR is pretty solid against the run.
In that case, I guess I’d start Dallas this week. Pickup Philly to start next week against CLE. I don’t really trust Denver in this situation, despite the great matchup.
You don’t need to hold onto the Pats if you can get Philly.

All right, lots of questions…
Ryan – It’s tough to sit Romo down, but I think Thigpen is a better start this week. At WR, Smith and Ward are your most dependable options. At RB, TJ and S-Jax, unless it looks like Jackson is gimpy. At flex, I’d go with Ronnie Brown because you know he’s going to get some touches. At TE, Keller is a good call.

Mike – Jake has been pretty spotty and has an awful matchup this week. I’d go with the HOU QB. At RB, go with LT. At WR, go with Boldin and Marshall and at flex, go with LenDale. On DT, I think Dallas is your best bet. Big Ben takes a lot of sacks.
Jack – Cutler, Hillis (KC has a bad rush D). I’d go with Moore and Cotch at WR. Toomer is okay, but I feel better about the other two.
Geo – Lynch!
Bob – I think you can cut Faulk. I’d start Scheff over Daniels this week. I would stick with Cotch. Berrian has a great matchup, but how much will Minny have to throw? That’s the concern. Given your options, I’d go with Berrian over Fargas.
Pat – Your lineup looks great. Hightower is a solid start this week. Rodgers should be fine – forecast right now is 18 degrees and sunny. Favre is a very solid start in SF if the weather in GB turns bad or you are worried about wind or wind chill.

I am not sure whether to start Darren McFadden or DeSean Jackson this week in Fantasy.
This is a PPR League.

Hurley – Welcome to the site. At WR, I’d definitely go with Moss and Royal. After that, I think Mason is your best bet. At WR, Hillis is a must-start. It’s tough to bench Portis, but he has been unproductive lately, is nicked up and has an awful matchup, so I’d probably go with Dunn. If Portis is looking a lot better later in the week, I might reconsider. At TE, I’d definitely go with Witten, even with a bad matchup. On defense, Indy has a great matchup with a bad, bad Cincy team.
Bobby – that’s a tossup. I’d go with Jackson because he’s been a more consistent threat this season and is less likely to get injured. Also, Philly is likely to be playing from behind which should mean lots of passes headed his way.

QBs are a close call, but I think Ryan has the best matchup, so I’d go with him. OAK has been tough against the pass lately and you never know which DEN defense is going to show up. I think it’s a safe bet that NO is going to give up some points to ATL.
At WR – Colston and Royal look like your best bets.
At RB – AP for sure. Then I’d go with TJ. Tough to sit down CJ, but them’s the breaks.

Randy – No easy choices here. I would go with Royal and Mason at WR for consistency’s sake.
At RB, I would start Grant and Bush, and give White the start as a flex.
Domenick – I’d go with the QB that has the better weather. I lean Big Ben because he has been more consistent of late, but it’s a tossup, so keep an eye on the weather and switch to McNabb if it looks like he has better conditions.
WR – Bowe and Housh.
RB – Westy and CJ. I’d start Dunn as the flex since it’s a PPR league.

Thanks John. I was having trouble deciding on whether to start Bush or not after his game last week. I also considered starting Hixon since Burress is out now. You think he’ll see the end zone at all?
Bumble – I think I would go with Parker and Portis at RB. Parker seems to be back and while Portis is nicked up, I think he’s your best option. If it looks like he isn’t going to play, I’d try Ward.
At flex, Coles seems like the best bet. He had a bad game last week, so I would expect him to bounce back against the 49ers.
I’m in non PPR league and am playing Fitzgerald and Andre Johson. For my 3rd WR should I play Berrian or Driver?

I’m tempted to play both Jets, but it’s also a scary proposition. I also have to consider either Farve or Thigpen at QB, so that might factor into my decision.
What do you think?
Chris – I’d go with LT and Slaton, but it’s a shame you can’t start Hillis as well.
I’d go with Moore, Walter and Mason, with Boss at TE. On defense, I’d start Indy if the MIN DTs stay suspended and if they play, I’d go with the Vikings.
J.Anthony – At RB, I’d go with CJ and MJD. At WR, Moss and Cotchery. Moore at the flex. I think I’d go with Favre at QB.

Vivek – I don’t mind Frerotte this week, but I might pick up Hill because he’s probably going to have to pass the ball to stay in the game. Romo’s matchup is just too tough. Parker at RB is probably the right call.
Grant – Tough call. I think you can cross Berrian off your list given your other options. If the weather is okay in PIT I would go with TO and Ward. But if it’s ugly, I’d sub Bowe in for TO.
Zack – I’d go with Ward and Bruce at WR. MJD and Barber (if he plays) at RB. If Barber can’t go, I’d sub Chester in. Hixon at flex.
Vinay – I think Pierre Thomas is a solid flex start this week. Coles should bounce back and Hixon is a solid start as well.
Raj – I’d hold onto Dunn since he’s the primary ball carrier in Tampa.
Adam – It’s tough to sit DeAngelo down but he has the worst matchup of the three and they’re all hot. I’d go with Hillis and TJ. At QB, I think Thigpen and Garrard are your best bets, barring awful weather in CHI.

In a PPR league would you go with Steven Jackson (ARI) over Brandon Jacobs (PHI) this week?
The same league I am in awards points for Kick and Punt Return yards(.1 for every kick return/punt return yard gained, I know its absurd)does that make Eddie Royal a must start over Lee Evans?
Same question I have to go through every friggin week: do I start a desperate Brees or a matchup-favored Cutler?
Jason – I think Driver and Welker are your best bets. At RB, LJ has a nice matchup.
Jizzle – I’d go with S-Jax and Royal. I would probably start Royal over Evans w/o return yards counting, so yeah, I’d say he’s a must-start in that format.
Jon – I’d go with Brees. The Broncos are going to have a lot of success running the ball, so my guess is that Cutler doesn’t have to throw that much.

AJAX – That is a tough call. Phi’s defense is pretty solid, and DEN’s has been playing well, so I’d go with Lynch and Hightower.

John – Start your stud – AJ. I like the Jets DT this week.
TW – I don’t know how many you have to start, but I’d go with Bush, R. Brown and McClain in that order, Boss at TE and CHI DT.

Hurley – I’d go with Mason, Bryant and Hixon in that order. Favre is a better play at QB (matchup).
SEB – Slaton should have a big day against a bad GB rush defense. Addai is Q.
Anon 1 – Hillis & CJ. Feel free to change your kicker – it’s tough to kick in PIT. I’d go with MIN at DT. They should get a lift from the DTs being back.
David – Tough call, but go with your gut.
Geo – MIN DT.
Cameron – Thigpen. Turner & Hightower for sure. Lindell & the MIN DT.
Jason P. – I’d go with Hill at QB – tough to bench McNabb after last week, but he has the Giants and that’s a bad matchup. S-jax at RB – tough call. Cotch and Housh – easy calls. Go Jets!
Rick – Tough to bench Westy, but Hillis has an awesome matchup.
Billy – CJ and Ronnie in a std league. CJ and Reggie in a PPR league. At WR, Ward, Bowe and Berrian.

Tanner- I would start Kasay. Prater is most likely gonna be kicking a lot, but they will probably be of the one point variety. I like Kasay’s FG chances better.

Hello. In a touchdown heavy, non PPR league…I need to start two RB from the following:
Addai: Good matchup but he is questionable and Rhodes has been vulturing carries
D Williams: On fire but facing a defense that has only given up one rushing TD all year
R Brown: He’s been mediocre, but at least consistent in TD leagues…
S Morris: I think he is a sneaky play…I am thinking NE wins big and runs Morris all second half…
I need 2 WR….b. Marshall, R wayne or E.royal
Justin- Romo is going to be playing in very cold weather against a very good D. Frerotte is indoors against a terrible D and Bernard Berrian has been very good lately. It’s your call, but I give the edge to Frerotte due to matchup and weather. Other than that I would start Jacobs, Hillis, Cotch, Breaston, Gonzo, and keep G men defense. All of these players are hot or have a favorable matchup.
