But what about the halftime shows?

I'm not joking. You just know that those silly fake band performances have a lot of pull with the NFL brass. Detroit's ideal because it's indoors, and Dallas is ideal because it's in the south. Ugh.

You could throw darts and randomly pick teams and you'll come up with something better than the Lions every year.

It wasn't too bad when they had Barry Sanders. He was fun to watch even if the team sucked. Plus, it was fun to rip on Wayne Fontes.

Now the team is just pitiful.

You stole my post!

I like the idea of a rematch of the conference championship games, but that may not work scheduling-wise (i.e. those teams may not play every year). I say leave the T-giving schedule open and pick the games sometime in October. By then we would have a pretty good idea who the good teams are. Obviously, you couldn't have a team turn around from a Monday night game and play again on Thursday, so this year, NO and GB would be out.

So who would be the best matchups this week?

NYG/WAS for sure
ATL/SD
DEN/NYJ
PIT/NE
CHI/MIN

Any of those would be better than the games we have today.
