Could use your help on 2 issues
should it be Jamal lewis,Julius Jones or Green-ellis?
How aboutSteve Breaston,Donald Driver,TJ houshim– or Bralon Edwards.
Thank you
TE – Tony Scheffler or Owen Daniels
W/R – E.Graham or J.Stewart or Green-Ellis
3 issues:
Philip Rivers or Jake Delhomme
(need 2) Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Eddie Royal, or Muhsin Muhammad
(need 2) Adrian Peterson, Thomas Jones, or Chris Johnson
What do you think?
DEF
GB or Jets
Should I start Jake Delhomme or Matt Ryan?
Pick 2 RB’s
1. Frank Gore
2. Steve slaton
3. Tim Hightower
Pick 3 WR’s
1. Eddie Royal
2. Desean Jackson
3. Marvin Harrison
4. Donald Driver
All right, lots of questions – here are some answers.
Mark – I’d go with Lewis, Green-Ellis and JJ in that order. Lewis is producing now and has the best matchup of the three.
WR: this question seems familiar…PPR league, I’d go with Housh, Breaston, Driver, Braylon…standard league, I’d go with Housh, Braylon, Driver, Breaston.
Bob – IND has a pretty good pass defense, so I’d go with Scheffler at TE. Assuming Sammy Morris and LaMont Jordan don’t play, Green-Ellis is probably your best option, with Graham next and then Stewart.
Brandon – I’d go with Delhomme against the Lions. They make opposing QBs look like Pro Bowlers on a weekly basis. Colston and Royal are your best bets at WR. At RB, definitely start AP. Next best is Chris Johnson, who has a better matchup than TJ.
Lamareo – The Jets have the better matchup and GB is without Nick Barnett, which hurts.
Anonymous – Ryan and Delhomme are both great starts, but I think I’d go with Ryan, who has been more consistent.
Dennis – Gore and Hightower are probably your best bets at RB. Gore has a great matchup and Hightower’s is pretty good too. Slaton has a nice matchup as well, but hasn’t been running as well as the other two.
WR – I think I’d go with the two rookies – Royal and D.Jackson. Driver and Jackson are close, but I give the edge to the rookie.
Out of Tim Hightower, Brian Westbrook, and BenJarvis Green-Ellis, which two should I start?
Also, I’m considering dropping Marvin Harrison and picking up someone else (the best options seem to be Lance Moore and Greg Camarillo) because no one is willing to trade for him. Should I?
I would start Westy and Hightower. Westy is a must-start if he’s active and Hightower is tearing it up right now.
At WR, it’s reasonable to pick up Moore or Camarillo and cut Harrison. I think Harrison could have a nice game this week against HOU, but there’s no guarantee. Moore would be the guy I would pick up if you do decide to cut Marvin (unless you’re in a PPR league – then I’d pick up Camarillo).
in a rb pickle this week jp.I got 5 backs 2 spots.Westbrook,Jamal Lewis,Ronnie Brown,Kevin Smith,or Cedric Benson? Big game this week. And I’m leaning towards Westbrook and Lewis.
While I do like Jamal this week, Ronnie Brown has an outstanding matchup against a very bad Oakland rush defense. I think Ricky Williams’ big game last week was more of an aberration than a trend, so Brown should be a safe play. There’s more upside there, but if you want the SAFER play, then you may want to go with Lewis.
I’d go with Westy and Brown.
jets or 49ers def?
thanks again
pick 2:LJ,Green-ellis,Ray rice,m.moore,LT
Pick 2:Plax,berrian,k.curtis,muhammad,mark bradley
thanks in advance.
Jug – I’d go with the 49ers defense – great matchup.
I’d go LT and LJ.
Tough call, but I think I’d gamble with Plaxico – he’s due for a big game. And at the other WR I’d probably go with Muhammad, given his matchup with DET. I’d rank Berrian third.
Hey John,
Should I drop McAllister and get Benjarvus Ellis Green for this week?
Or get Larry Johnson for McAllister?
Thanks
I need some trade advice. Offer on the table: Laverneus Coles to my team in return for either Chris Chambers OR Santonio Holmes.
Chambers was having one hell of a start this season before injury. Holmes doesn’t have any injury excuses for his lack of stats. Then again, he’s healthy.
Should I pull the trigger? If so, for who?
who to start week 11 at rb? pick 2. Thomas Jones,Steve Slaton,Jamal Lewis,Joseph Addai? Thanks.
Shaun – I think acquiring LJ would be a good idea since he’s coming back to the team this week.
Gator Bait – I am not a fan of Chris Chambers and I think a Chambers for Coles would be a good move.
Seb – I’d start Addai in a great matchup with the Texans. After that it’s between TJ and Jamal, and it’s close. TJ seems to be the hotter back right now, so he wouldn’t be a bad play.
Hey
WR: Greg Jennings or Eddie Royal?
TE: Chris Cooley or Kevin Boss?
D: Green Bay or Baltimore?
Thanks man
Jennings should have a nice game against a sketchy Bears secondary. I like Royal too, but I like Jennings more.
Cooley is a big part of the Redskins offense and with Portis hobbled, they may look his way even more this week.
Neither team has a particularly good matchup, but I’d go with the Packers over the Ravens given the Bears’ QB and the Green Bay corners’ ability to make big plays.
Pick 1 WR to start this week
1. Antonio Bryant
2. Marvin Harrison
I think you have to go with the hot hand. Bryant has been terrific over the last three weeks. There’s no telling what you’ll get out of Marvin.
JP,
E.Royal (vs. ATL) or L.Coles (vs. Pats)?
shall is start…
rbs, 2:
westbrook*
graham
julius jones
or hightower*
and wrs:
lee evans*
anquan boldin*
braylon edwards
or eddie royal*…
the ones with stars are my current starters…
thanks
Hi John,
Mason Crosby or Neil Rackers
Brady Quinn or Matt Ryan
Thanks!!
Zookeeper – Eddie Royal, baby!
jimi – I agree with all of your current starters.
Raj – Matt Ryan is the better start – better matchup and he’s more proven. Re: kickers, I’d probably go with Rackers because the Cards are likely to score more points.
pick 3:
hines ward, desean jackson, antonio bryant, derick mason, or tedd ginn
who should i pick : derrick ward, bradshaw, dunn, or rhodes
miami or tampa bay def,
rhodes, or jones-drew
John,
I’m good at qb favre,warner,rogers-starting Kurt
not so good recievers-Steve Breaston,Muhsin Muhammed,Chad Johnson and Moss. Can you pick 3 recievers to start? Also which QB would you trade and what caliber reciver could I trade for? Def JETS or Giants. Thanks for your time.
Pick 2 RB – LT, Turner, Chris Johnson?
Pick 3 WR – DeSean Jackson, TO, Greg Jennings, Coles?
DEF – Pitt / Tenn?
TE – Owen / Witten?
Thanks.
JAY FEELY IS #1
I got Wayne as my #1 and dont know who to start as my #2 receiver, Santana Moss or Eddie Royal? Thanks in advance!
Need 2 WR:
Plaxico Burress, Bernard Berrian, Eddie Royal, or Marques Colston
& 1 TE:
Anthony Fasano or Tony Scheffler
alex – ward, jackson & bryant. mason is dinged up.
at RB, I think Rhodes is your best option unless Graham doesn’t play for TB. If that’s the case, you could stick Dunn in there.
at DT – TB DT has a nice matchup and is better.
I would go with MJD at RB.
Seb – Is this a PPR league? If so, I would have to get Breaston in the lineup somehow. Not sure who to sit, though. Standard league, I’d go with Moss, CJ and Muhammad.
As far as a trade goes, I’d try to package a QB with Moss or CJ and upgrade to a very good WR. It just so happens that Rodgers and Favre have schedules that match up perfectly. Each week, one of them has an easy matchup. So you could try Warner + WR to upgrade.
On defense I hope you picked the Jets. If not, the Giants should have a solid day too.
Hugh – You have to start Turner, the matchup is so good. Then it’s between Chris Johnson (solid matchup) & LT (bad matchup). Given LT’s matchup, I could see benching him in this scenario, but he could bust out at any time, so you have to be prepared for that to happen.
At WR, I’d start Jennings and Owens – since you already (or already didn’t) start Coles, you can fill the third spot yourself. At TE, I think I’d go with Daniels. Witten is just coming back and things probably won’t go smoothly against a Redskins defense that is pretty good against TEs.
Tony – it’s very close, but I lean Royal. He’s playing too well lately.
Lamareo – Colston and Royal. They are playing well. Definitely Scheff at TE.
Chad Pennington or Philip Rivers? Normally I’d start Rivers no question, but the Steelers D is pretty good…
Well, in a 2 QB league I started Rivers over Cassel at the last minute (much to my chagrin, considering Cassel’s performance last night), so I have enough confidence that Rivers will play well, even against Pittsburgh. He has 2+ TD in the last four games and has thrown for 2+ in seven of nine games this season.
jeff garcia or mcnabb
pick 3: westbrook, chris johnson, MJD, rhodes, or dunn(if he plays)
Hello again john.
ladell betts or LJ ?
out of these WR’s which ones should i start (pick 3) Hines Ward, Santana Moss, Muhsin Muhammad and Reggie Wayne. i am torn between starting Santana Moss and Muhsin Muhammad.. thanks John !
Hey John, should i start Tony Scheffler or Jason Witten this week? Also, Larry Johnson or Marshawn Lynch?.. and which defense should i utilize, Tennessee or Pittsburgh
greg jennings or eli manning? fitzgerald or roddy white? decisions decisions… :O
Hey John,
I’ve got a few for ya:
Is Tony Romo going to come back well? Right now I’m starting Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers instead.
Does Clinton Portis have a good enough chance of running on Sunday to play him over Steve Slaton?
Also, I can’t decide between Eddie Royal or Desean Jackson.
Thanks!
Mark – McNabb has much more upside and a better matchup. I’d go with the first three RBs you listed.
Jug – LJ seems like the better play to me. He’s the better back and they’re both returning from time off.
KS – Wayne is questionable, so keep an eye on that. I would probably go with Muhammad since he plays DET.
Sun – Scheff seems like the safer play, but I think Witten has more upside. It depends on your opponent this week. If you think you’ll need a big score to win, you might want to go with Witten. I definitely think Lynch is the better play over LJ. Neither DT has a particularly good matchup, so I’d go with the team that’s at home, PIT.
Carlos – I’d start the three WRs.
JD – I’d like to see Romo play before starting him and you have two pretty good guys starting right now. I’m a little worried about Rivers, but he should have a pretty good day.
I’d definitely go with Slaton over Portis. It doesn’t look like Portis is going to get his usual workload even if he does play. As a Portis owner myself, I’d rather he just sit out and get well.
I would go with Eddie Royal. He has been more consistent of late.
Thanks for your help last week it was great.
I need to use two of the following WRs, which to go with?
Michael Jenkins
Antonio Bryant
Steve Breaston
Donnie Avery
Kevin Curtis
Thanks,
Ryan – is this a point per reception (PPR) league?
Deuce McAllister or Marion Barber?
i have a RB issue
here they are
Mart Forte
Michael Tunner (knee?? i think)
Frank Gore (neck)
they all play 27th rank and below rush defense
and most where i look they are ranked top 5 this week
anyone help please
pick 2: chris johnson, addai, ronnie brown…
Thanks
oops i just realized i messed up on my question.. lol aaron rodgers or eli manning?
Pickle I have 2 RB and 2 WR and a flex I want to know out of these three who to start as WR 2 and Flex.
Terrell Owens
Eddie Royal
Steve Slaton
Cedric B
Shaun – Deuce has the better matchup, but I think you have to go with Marion Barber.
Luis – I would go with Turner and Gore. Like you said, all three starts are good ones.
Scooter – All three are great starts. I’d go with C. Johnson and Ronnie Brown. Addai has been a little sketchy lately production-wise.
Carlos – I’d go with Rodgers – better matchup.
EastCoast – PPR league? I’d go with TO and Royal. Standard league? I’d go with TO and Slaton.
Hey I have a question I have a PPR league with 4 wr’s I am thinking of starting A. Bryant, R. Wayne, M.Colston, and then I need to decide between TO or hines ward… Ward is always consistent but I am looking for romo to feed TO the ball now that romo is back…. ideas?? Thanks!!
lee evans, hines ward, steve breaston, or eddi royal. I need three. (PPR)
No it is not a point per reception league – 1pt/10yards and 6pts/TD
Need two,
LT, Lendale, or Duece?
Need one
E Graham or J Stewart
Please pick 2…I am in a TD heavy league.
Joseph Addai
DeAngelo Williams
Ronnie Brown
hey john. Im in a PPR league. I need to decide whether to put hines ward or jamal lewis in my w/r slot. Both seem to have good matchups which would you do?
If I may…
D Williams concerns me because Stewart and Delhomme are both coming off poor performances. Against a Lions defense that will allow the Panthers to do whatever they want I am concerned that Carolina will try to re-establish Stewart and Delhomme.
My concern with R Brown is the recent emergence of R Williams. Is it a fluke or a trend?
My concern with Addai is if he is really healed, is his O-Line playing well, and will Rhodes steal time? I think the Colts will try to get Addai back to form this week, but conventional wisdom says to play D Williams and R Brown instead of Addai…what to do, what to do?
Jhon – I think that’s an upside/downside question. TO has more of both. I would probably go with the consistent Ward.
Maine – evans, royal and ward.
Ryan – Then I would go with Bryant and Avery.
Mike – LT and Deuce. Graham.
Biglos – I would go with Williams and R. Brown. Addai hasn’t had a good fantasy game since Week 5. That might change this week, but I feel better about the other two.
Beef – It’s very close. I think between those two, Jamal has the higher floor, so if you want some sure points, he’s your guy. If you want more upside, Ward is the better play. Personally, I’d go with Jamal and get the (almost) sure 20 touches.
Thanks!!
Should i start Jamal Lewis against the Bills or Deuce McAllister against the Chiefs
WR who to start?
pick 2
greg camarillo
kevin curtis
bernard berrian
T.O
brandon marshall
thanks
oh and its not PPR
1/25yd
6/td
5 bonus at 100yard
For receivers, who should I play, Matt Jones vs Tenn. or Kevin Walter vs the Colts?
derrick mason or antonio bryant
mcnabb, jeff garcia, or garrard
I have De-Angelo Williams, Earnest Graham is injured and will probably not return this season. Should I get Jonathan Stewart or Warrick Dunn?
Thanks or your help. I have the lost the last 4 games.
I also have Kevin Smith….should i be dropping him for Jonathan Stewart?
