Unfortunately, there aren't more Mike Singletarys coaching now. The athletes are all that matter. It will depend on how ownership backs him up. Jim Haslett raised the bar for what an interim coach can/should do after a head coach is fired. Though this might be more about Scott Linehan vs. Mike Nolan than Haslett vs. Singletary. It's going to be interesting to see how the 49ers (and specifically, Vernon Davis) respond over the rest of the season. I picked their defense as one of my DTBWW picks and I really thought they were going to play better than they did against a shaky Seattle offense.
