Curt Schilling proves he should stay retired
Curt Schilling recently said that he wants to return to baseball next year and pitch for half a season. But as SI.com highlights, maybe he should stay retired.
Curt Schilling , the bloody-socked hero of the team’s angst-ending 2004 championship, threw out the ceremonial pitch – his only appearance on the Fenway mound this season. He bounced it about 8 feet in front of the plate.
At least Curt’s throw was roughly 10 feet longer than this guys’ toss:

“That’s almost 10!!”
I love these commercials.
I hope Shilling does come back and to Boston. Now that they got rid on Manny the Red Sox Village is looking for an idot.
I like it Ronnie!
Whitey Ford can still reach the plate and this fat-ass bounces it!! Beautiful…$8M from the Redsox(when they knew he was injured)and all this guy has done is belly up to every buffet he could find. He obviously hasn’t been trying to stay in shape, let alone rehab. I don’t want to hear anybody from “Bandwagon Nation” mention Carl Pavano again.
The good news is the Red Sox just dropped $8 mill off of next years payroll. Curt hurt himself on that toss.
I will say – the $40 mill the Red Sox paid Schill was worth way more than $40 mill the E E payed Carl Pavano don’t you ?
It shows right here that Schill got two rings for Boston. The Yanks got two skid-marks for Pavano.
