Wow it was December 5th 2009 when I posted that I could not wait to laugh at all the people that said Tebow could not play quarterback in the NFL. Not only has he proved himself an NFL quarterback but, most of his critics are admitting it...goes to show you good things happen to good people who believe in themselves no matter what people say....how cool is that!!!

Can not wait to laugh at all the people who say Tebow can not play quarterback in the NFL. Let's see Carolina has Delhomme. Tennesee has Young. There is Bulger and many others that are in the NFL that Tebow could do a better job after learning their system. As far as passing -- go to youtube and brush up on some footage before you say he can't throw the ball....Geeesh!!

Tebow throws the worst ball of any college QB. More lame ducks come out of that arm... seriously I never see a tight spiral. I never see a laser of a dart pass. He WILL NOT be any kind of a long-term starter in the NFL. Now maybe he could learn the skills needed, but how long will that take and what is the patience level for that? He is such an athlete that I would not be so bold as to say he could not learn them. But as far as passing goes he really and truly throws the worst ball in college. He will be feasted upon by NFL DBs. I mean all-you-can-eat buffet feasted. Can you say eight INTs in one game?

Tim Tebow is a great college QB. But he is too far behind the curve playing in that system. The next spread QB (zone read or run and shoot) that comes from college and does well will be the first. Start with any of Spurrier's guys from Shane Mathews and Danny Weurfel to Rex Grossman and Chris Leak. David Klingler, Andre Ware, Alex Smith (Urban's guy), Vince Young or Timmy Chang or any QB from Texas Tech... it doesn't matter. The spread is simple corner/safety single read passing and the windows are huge. The footwork is behind, the reads are behind and the methodology does not translate to the NFL. If it was about armstrength guys like Montana and Young would have sucked and Jeff George would be in the Hall of Fame. The college system matters a lot. It's no fluke that USC has 5 QB's in the NFL right now (Norm Chow who also can claim Philip Rivers) and besides Brady in last 10 -20 years they also had Griese, Todd Collins, Scott Dreisbach, Elvis Grbac, Jim Harbaugh etc. Ironically, the strongest armed and most athletically gifted of all the Wolverines QB's was Drew Henson an NFL washout. Tim's arm would be good enough if he were a better QB, he's just not that guy. But I think you have to find a spot in the locker room for a guy like that.

A god in the NFL? I agree with t-bone because Florida uses the spread offense which is designed for a college QB to succeed. Remember Graham Harrell? Where did he get drafted? Remember Matthew Staford? His numbers where no where near Harrell\'s but who got drafted number 1?
