The Falcons don't deserve any credit. :-)

Atlanta has owned GB lately, and they played a solid, almost mistake-free game. The score wouldn't have been as close had Ryan not thrown that interception in the second half. He had a wide open receiver in the endzone, but just waited too long. Otherwise, he looked solid.

I thought outside of the interception that Rodgers played well. He was in a lot of pain, but the two touchdowns he threw to Driver and Jennings were outstanding. You’re right, what did the Packers in was sloppy play and costly mistakes.

The Falcons deserve credit for having a solid game plan, too. They weren’t afraid of attacking Woodson (especially right at the start of the game), befuddled the Green Bay coaching staff by using a no-huddle drive in the second half that led to White’s second score, and then relied on Turner in the second half. Not to mention, they didn’t make any mistakes outside of Ryan’s under throw in the end zone that led to an INT, and they continuously came up with big plays when they needed to.

Here’s something interesting to chew on – below are the last three games the Falcons played at Lambeau and the result.

2008 Regular Season: Falcons 27, Packers 24
2003 NFC Divisional Playoffs: Falcons 27, Packers 7
2001 Regular Season: Falcons 23, Packers 20

You have to go back to the 1995 Divisional Playoffs for the last time the Packers beat the Falcons in Green Bay. The Falcons have just had success there this decade. (By the way, the Falcons have gone to Green Bay 5 of the last 6 times these teams have played – nice work schedule makers!)
