He is a happy man in La-La Land. Ok, he needed some help by aquiering Manny or else he was going golfing - but the Dude is happy now. The Yankee brass sent him out West.I hope he tells the Yankees to go golfing by themselves. Let us not forget - the yanks and Joe T. lost the last seven ... with "THAT" lineup. Jeez Jim. He freely has admitted that the run in NY became a chore and both sides needed to split. He will return to NY for the proper send off in time and he will be honored as a Yankee forever just like Yogi did and so many others. Look at the response Bernie Williams got last week....Look at Dave Winfield, Reggie and so many others. These were tough guys, on tough Teams and they new how to win.
