A random thought about Misty May-Treanor’s tattoo…
This occurred to me during the Bejing Olympic Games, but I was reminded of it with all the hoopla surrounding the “Dancing With The Stars” premiere.
Misty May-Treanor has a tattoo on her lower back. It’s a picture of the Roman numeral five, a tribute to Jason Kidd, May-Treanor’s favorite basketball player. Kidd wears the #5 on his jersey. May also wore the number in college.
So imagine you’re Misty’s husband, baseball player Matt Treanor, and you’re spending some “quality time” with your wife and you look down and see that tattoo. What happens when a picture of Jason Kidd’s mug pops into your head?

the 5 is her college number which is retired.
She took the number 5 because of Jason Kidd. The story was all over the Olympics this summer.
she took the number because of him but she has it tatooed because of her success in college. it also has her granmas initials on it. dont make a big deal out of nothing misty loves her husband.
That’s right – sports journalism should all be deadly serious business. I don’t see a big deal being made out of it – just a humorous little asside . . .

just wanted people to know what the tatoo was really about. she likes kidd, shes not obsessed with him. the comments were humorous however.
Her husband has a grateful dead tattoo on his back. Clearly that idiot didn’t put much thought into his tattoo. #5 Serves him right.
