He's just trying to calm Cavs fans down so that they keep buying season tickets beyond 2009.

Boy, Al, for a guy who says he wants "insightful" commentary, you're sure quick to start with the name-calling. I don't know if anyone else is calling out Gilbert for sticking his head in the sand, but that's my point here in case you missed it.

Gilbert has his agenda, but criticizing reporters for discussing a possible LeBron departure isn't going to accomplish anything. It doesn't matter who the player is - if a guy has an expiring contract, people are going to talk about his future. The bigger the name, the earlier it starts. Attacking the people talking about it is only going to fuel speculation.

I think he's doing a disservice to the city of Cleveland by pretending there isn't a distinct likelihood that LeBron leaves in two years.

I don't blame Gilbert for saying this. He needs to do whatever he can to keep LeBron and he obvioulsy wants to dampen the speculation. That said, LeBron has been giving plenty of signals that loyalty to Cleveland is not at the top of his list.

You sound bored and like the typical "mee too" lazy reporter....Is there a single word of value in this article or a new insight or a single word that has not been repeated over and over again by sheep like so called "writers" like you?

Do you ever do the "real work" Paulsen or would that require you to get off your chair?

I actually happen to be from New Jersey but I do see Gilbert's point which is only magnified by the likes of parrots like you....
