should i start matt forte this week after his impressive performance or should i start Maurice Jones- Drew even after he only touched the ball 5 times for 45 yards?
I assume it makes sense to start Kitna over Pennington or Cassel? Pennington could be a 1 week wonder, and the jury is still out on Cassel.
Also, Would it make sense to start Fargas over Ryan Grant? Fargas is @KC with a slightly better matchup than Grant @Det. Not to mention Grant isn’t 100% and will likely split carries with Brandon Jackson.
Doogle – Jones-Drew actually had nine touches for 50 yards, but that’s neither here nor there. Neither matchup is great or awful, so I’d probably go with the hot hand (Forte). At least you know he’ll get 15-20 touches at a minimum.
Leon – Yeah I think Kitna is probably your best bet. They’ll likely be trailing again, so he’ll have to throw and the GB pass defense isn’t overwhelming.
As for Grant/Fargas, if McFadden is out, I’d start Fargas (assuming GB doesn’t come back and say that Grant is going to get his normal workload). If McFadden is going to play, I’d go with Grant, because GB has DET (who just got torched by Turner). Plus, Grant got most of the goal line carries against MIN so he’s bound to punch one in. He’s also a threat to take it to the house on just about any carry. You can’t say that about Fargas.
My W/R spot, who should I start?
Patrick Crayton
Justin Fargas
Chris Perry
Ted Ginn Jr.
Who should i start at the WR spot for Week 2
Desean Jackson
or
Eddie Royal?
i got some more questions.
point system is same if u dont remeber just write and ill post again
QB= kitna or hasselback
RB= addai grant bush k smith (pick 3)
WR= ocho cino, e royal, a gonazles (1)
DEF= Pitt, Ari, Tenn?
K=kasay, bironas, graham, carney, bryant?
What’s the point of having a fantasy football team if you have someone else filling out your lineup for you?
Just curious.
Is Buffalo a good pick up this week? They are playing a beat up Jags O-line. Also, what do you think of picking up Sammy Morris and Piere Thomas. I will have to drop Ben Watson and Jeff Garcia. My starting QB is Matt Kassel. Do i need to shop for a QB or do I need more time for verdict?
Who would be the better kicker this week?
Phil Dawson
David Akers
Ryan Longwell
Rian Lindell
John Kasay
John Carney
Matt Bryant
Scorpion – I’d probably go with Fargas. McFadden is a little dinged up, so OAK will probably try to ease him back into the lineup.
Yoooo – I like both players, but I think Eddie Royal will have the better week. He’s at home and the SD defense will have to account for Brandon Marshall as well.
Gators – Addai, Grant, Bush, Royal, PIT, Kasay – Grant is a gametime decision, so you may want to put Smith in there instead.
Phil – I like the BUF defense – this week they are so-so against a pretty good JAX offense that didn’t show up last week. Garcia looks like he’s on the outs in TB and Watson isn’t playing, so I guess you could cut them. It depends on who else you have on your roster. Morris and Thomas probably won’t be startable in most leagues unless Maroney or Bush go down, unless you’re talking about a flex position or something.
Scorpion – for a kicker, just pick one. Kasay did well last week and probably will again. Who knows.
right now i am not liking my wrs, so im trying to trade for brandon marshall
he wants to do bush for marshall strait up but i think that is bs sooo.
With my teams wrs and rbs (k smith, addai, grant, bush, c taylor, r wayne, ochocinco, h ward, a gonzalez, e royal) and his wrs and rbs (t.o., plax, marshall, v jackson, m forte, s young, fargas, r brown) what would be a fair trade?
also u didnt answer kitna or hasselback?
Kitna.
With Wayne, Ocho Cinco, Ward and Royal, you are doing pretty good at WR. I would hang tight. Grant for Marshall is probably fair considering Grant’s hammy, but I wouldn’t give up Bush.
I would stand pat. You have a nice team.
Have a lot of WRs with a few question marks. Which three would you start (though Wayne is a given): Wayne, Coles, Royal, Galloway, Patten, Welker.
Welker would usually be immovable I would think, but since a certain QB won’t be throwing to him…
In a 2QB, 3WR, 3RB league my guys are…
QBs: Favre, Garrard, Delhomme, Cassel
RBs: Peterson, Bush, T. Jones, Fargas, DeAngelo Williams
WRs: Wayne, Driver, Royal, Colston, Engram.
Is it smart to sit on this line up that will consistantly have 2 decently ranked QBs, 3 well ranked RBs, and once Colston and Engram are back 3 well ranked WRs, even though I have to wait til week 5 for Engram and potentially week 8 for Colston?
Also, of Fargas, Bush, Jones, and DeAngelo Williams which are your top 2 for week 2?
Droopy – Is this a PPR league? If so, I think you have to have Welker in your lineup. I would go with Wayne, Welker and Royal
BAP – I think you are OK with Wayne, Driver and Royal. If you see a good WR on the waiver wire and want to cut (or trade) D. Williams, it might be appropriate. You can get by with AP, Bush and TJ at RB (though I’d try to acquire P. Thomas to back up Bush).
If McFadden plays, I’d go with Bush and TJ. If he doesn’t, I’d go with Fargas and Bush. Is this a PPR league?
Sorry. Not a PPR league. Does that change anything?
I don’t think that any of the other receivers are much more likely to score a TD than Welker, so I’d probably stick with him. Moss is hobbled, so I’d expect Belichick to call Welker’s number often.
Dear John,
You have the greatest gig in the world! How do i land such a job? FF is my crack and would love to do it for a living!!!
It ain’t all peaches and cream. I heard his bosses are jerks!
embarrassing photos of website owner + blackmail = gig in fantasy football
No, it isn’t a PPR league. Thanks for the advice I’ll keep it in mind when making my final decisions.
Choose 3 : Holmes , Driver , Royal , or Desean Jackson
hey is this a good trade?? im the team with T.O.
TO and Selvin young
for
Wes Welker, justin fargas, and Jamal Lewis
Mario – Holmes for sure. Driver, Royal and Jackson are all about the same, rankings-wise. Driver is more dependable than the two rookies, but they could both have big games. Royal was on fire last week but Brandon Marshall is back, so his targets should be down. Jackson faces a pretty tough Dallas defense, but Braylon Edwards had several missed opportunities last week, so Jackson could perform well, especially if Philly falls behind. I guess it depends on who you’re playing with this lineup. If they’re bad and you just want some sure points, go with Holmes, Driver and Royal. If you want some upside, go with Holmes, Royal and Jackson. Of course, DD is capable of putting up big games as well. I’d probably go with Holmes, Driver and Royal.
Alex – Meh. T.O. is the prize there and I’d hold onto him. Welker’s stock is down with Cassel in at QB, Fargas had a nice game but has McFadden to deal with and Jamal has a tough couple of games coming up. What’s the rest of your roster looking like? If you have two startable RBs (and Young is your RB3), I think you should hold onto Owens.
I have Pitt DEF, Dallas, Tamba Bay and Carolina still available, should I pick any of these and drop Pitt? Or should I keep Pitt D?
Should i start David Patten over Chris Chambers at WR?
Scorpion – PIT DT is fine.
Bama – I’d probably give Patten a try. Chambers is facing a tough Broncos secondary.
Boy, I hope you ignored or missed my advice on Chambers – he obviously had a really nice day. He has burned me several times in the past, but seems to have turned a corner in SD.
k i got a question on a trade here and i wanted to ask quik in case he says no soon
should i trade hines ward for antonio gates and bryant johnson
right now i have vernon davis for a TE and a gonzales and e royal to replace hines ward, do u think its worth it?
It all depends how comfortable you are with Gates’ injury status. He has a sore hip, but Norv Turner didn’t mention his foot, so he should be good to go. You never know though.
If it were me, I’d pull the trigger. A healthy Gates is a big upgrade for you and you have the horses to fill in for Ward, who might be playing a little over his head right now (and is an injury concern himself).
