Doesn't matter - pick any veteran QB and pt him in there until you're sure Ryan won't get killed.

Totally disagree. When you draft a franchise QB, it is absolutely NOT about this year. You are thinking about the best way to develop him for future years. If winning games this year enters into their thinking, they increase the risk of screwing him up for the long term.

I watched as Tim Couch got mauled as the starting QB in Cleveland as a rookie because his line sucked and he had no weapons. Yes, Couch had his own limitations, but he might have had a decent career if he didn't suffer through all the injuries early in his career.

I think they should trade for Brett Farve.....oh wait that drama is over...Sorry, just couldn't go a day without some mention of Brett the fatigued arm QB...

Getting back to Atlanta..I also say to play him, that's what he's there for. You can not start the year off thinking about next year because if you do you have already given up.

Bad move - the kid has talent but there is no reason to rush him.

The key is the offensive line. Unless the coaches are convinced he can be protected, he shouldn't be out there. If the line can be solid, then the risk is much less.

If I'm Atlanta - I put him out there ... why not ? You are starting over in a lot of areas.
