I remember the last Summer Olympics in Atlanta when our basketball team played below expectations---really, the only other excitement generated from our athletes was in the swimming pool. I don't know how other people feel, but I feel the upcoming Olympics have been under-promoted. I've been watching a good deal of NBC television as well, and it seems like they've even failed to give the Games enough attention. There's been some good coverage in Sports Illustrated and my newspaper (The Los Angeles Times) but I don't know how the Olympics will initially draw.
