The domination continues: AL tops NL 4-3 in wild All-Star Game
In arguably the most exciting All-Star Game in the modern era, the American League once again prevailed over their National counterparts, 4-3 in 15 innings Tuesday night. The AL has not lost an All-Star Game since 1996 and will host the World Series yet again.
Here’s great video of highlights from the game, set to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”
The game was absolutely incredible and had it all – great pitching, home runs, multiple plays at the plate and enough drama to compete with a soap opera. The game certainly didn’t disappoint this year.

Please, please Pro Sports – start these showcase games earlier…..start the hoopla at 6 pm ET and go on. I hung in there until 1:10 am and only got through 13 of the 15 innings.
When are they going to do something about these hours? Even those high-priced ticketholders left during that historic game. Shame.
I agree….You have to start before 8:40….I stopped at 13 o, hit TIVO and woke up to find it stopped 1 min into the bottom of the 15th..I missed it…Thanks God we have ESPN to review it 100 times.
As for the game , I thought it was great, had some drama in just about every inning and both Coach’s did a nice job…Kind of felt sorry for Uggla, that ball does find you when you’re having a bad night.
Hat’s off to the 49 H o F players, some I haven’t seen in years, some I thought were long gone?
And finally, it was good to see Mr Stienbrenner, The Boss out there. Love him or hate him he has given alot to this sport…
Driving over the Whitestone Bridge about 10pm, I could see the lights shining out of the stadium and the blimp overhead. With the background of Manhattan to the left and planes flying low over Long Island Sound into LaGuardia on such a clear night was pretty cool……
I was also within a few hundred feet of the new Citifield…..Looks really nice! Could see them setting up for the Billy Joel concerts inside Shea, too. Ahh, New York on a hot summer night…..
