Hamilton sets record at Derby, loses to Morneau in finals

Josh Hamilton’s amazing story continued Monday night as he set a single round record at the Home Run Derby by blasting 28 dingers in Round One. But he couldn’t hold off the Twins’ Justin Morneau, who defeated Hamilton 5-3 in the final round.

Hamilton’s performance was absolutely amazing, although it likely cost him in the end because he was dead tired. Either way, he gave the fans at Yankee Stadium a show and that’s what the HR Derby is all about.
