When Walker was playing at his peak, he helped us a great deal. I'll always say it was a real pity that ego (mostly his) got in the way of a really good fit. The guy should have bought himself a house and settled in for the long haul. We made him a millionaire when many said he wasn't smart enough to play in the NFL We carried him until he caught on, and when he did, it was pretty damn good.

I think he was the best pure receiver Favre ever had - as much potential physically as James Lofton if you ask me. Driver is the superior player, and Jennings might well get there, but I don't think either one of them has the physicals that Walker did.

Unfortunately, he seems to be just another in a long line of very gifted athletes that just didn't have it right between their ears. Or who just couldn't choke back on their ego and be part of a real team.

Strictly my opinion, mind you.
Isn't Lofton coaching receivers now?
With the Raiders?

I hope you'll forgive the snobbery, but this probably wouldn't have happened if Javon had shut his pie hole and played one more year for the Packers - thereby giving them a reason to upgrade his contract.
