The Lakers weren't attacking the paint much in Game 2, which is the main reason they didn't get to the line. Plus, it's hard to give Kobe a call when he complains on every single missed shot (and most made ones). The bottom line is that if you stand around a shoot a bunch of jumpers, you're not going to get to the line. The Lakers have a beef, but it was on the upper end of the usual home/away disparity, then add in the number of jumpers they shot.

The free throw disparity was reversed in Game 3, so what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I'd like to see a few Finals games when the officials are not to blame.

Let's get right to it, game 2 was probably the most lop-sided officiated game in NBA finals history. All this talk about the most "physical/agressive" team deserving the most free-throws is hogwash. This is what is wrong with the NBA, the game is not called correctly. The most physical team fouls the most, pure and simple. When you are contesting more shots, going after more rebounds, reaching more, you are creating more contact. The finesse team, the Lakers, contest less shots, reach less, take less charges, but are called for MORE fouls?

I am so tired of sitting down to watch a basketball game and a football/hockey game breaks out.
