Did anyone see Steve Phillips on ESPN the other day admit that he was concerned that some players were using performance enhancing drugs while he was the Mets GM but regrets that he didn't actually address the problem?. I want to hear more of that from the men who were responsible for putting teams together and were around these cheaters in the clubhouse. I believe part of the problem may have been with the strength of the union, those who did know what was going on also knew there was nothing that could be done without the union's consent, so why not ride the cash cow for all it was worth?

I won't be back in a major league park until they have a real testing program in place with severe penalties to ensure this never happens again. I'll enjoy h.s. and little league games until then. Ok..maybe some AAA games as well, only because the beer and hotdogs are cheap!!

I'm with ya Jeff (obviously)! More baseball fans should head up to the local public leagues and high schools to check out a game where the fundamentals are still being taught...

Yes, yes and hell yes! If MLB wants my big butt back at the ballpark, they can only begin by being honest about this BS.

They won't be saying anything we haven't known for years. They actually make a joke of themselves by not saying it.

Until such time as something like this happens, you can find me and my son at the various ballparks of the North Woods League where normal looking young guys slap base hits, pop flies, run bases and yes, hit the occasional 385 foot homer.
