Indians 6, Yankees 4
They had to survive a monstrous solo home run by Bobby Abreu in the bottom of the ninth, but Cleveland hung on to beat the Yankees 6-4 and advance to the American League Championship Series against the Red Sox. The Indians lit up Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang for four runs on five hits, chasing him after only one inning of work. Mike Mussina didn’t have much luck against the Tribe either, yielding two runs on four hits in 4.2 innings of work. Offensively, Cleveland leaned on leadoff hitter Grady Sizemore, who connected for a home run in the first inning and finished 2 for 3 with two runs and one RBI. The Cleveland Plain Dealer lauded Indians starter Paul Byrd’s pitching performance…Due to the loss and owner George Steinbrenner’s threats, The NY Post wonders if Yankees manager Joe Torre will get his walking papers.

Roger is wondering ….. ” Should I come back ? ”
WONG.
Where is LeBron and his stupid hat now?
LeBron and pretty boy Brady need to revisit wearing their Crankee hats when they are the toast of the town in Cleveland and Boston respectively. They have a right to root for whoever they want – but why rub it in your fans faces that support you like you are Kings ? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Would Jeter wear a Patriots hat to a Jets game ?
Come on, Bay24, this is the USA. If the Cavalier and Patriot fans are bothered, then they should boycott Lebron and Brady’s games, ha. Fat chance.
If I sign a contract to play one sport for a team in a city, I should be entitled to wear any hat I want (see the 1st amendment), anytime, anywhere I want. If this country can be seriously considering Hillary Clinton for President, I don’t think who’s wearing what hat really matters.
Would this be an issue if they had been wearing LA Angels hats? I don’t think so……….
