The first week of the NFL season is in the books, and while I realize the 10 Week 1 surprises I did for Bullz-Eye.com may not matter much in a month, that won’t stop me from praising the Bears’ D for bottling up LT and the Colts D for completely shutting down the Saints. We had a Chris Chambers sighting too.

Good analysis …….. L T was bottled up. But the Chargers are creative. It looks like 3 teams rose to the top this weekend. All in the AFC The Pats ( even if they cheated ) the Colts and the Charges. They all played big time football. They smacked the other team in the mouth AND they were creative. There were so many games out there that were close – but were ho-hum because they didn’t take chances. These 3 teams were the class of week one if you ask me.
Bay 24. Wow, way off base calling the Pats the class of the week. They cheated. The game should be forfeited.
LT bottled up? A bit of an understatement. His longest run was 10 yds at the end of the first half (when they were running out the clock to go to the locker room). He had a legit 7 yd td run. Take those two away and the MVP rushed 15 times for 8 yds. (.5/rush) With those two he went 17 for 25 yds. (1.5/rush)
I think LT is going to have a tremendous game against the Pats this Sunday. Not only will the Pats be burdened with the media frenzy looming over their cheating heads…LT just had his first pre-season game which was game 1 versus the Bears. There is no way he will be contained for a second week. Let just face it…people who hold him in on their fantasy team can always count on LT’s arm when his legs arn’t working.

I didn’t say LT had great numbers – I’m saying the Chargers came up with a way to win the game on a pass play from LT. Not his running skills. They had him bottled up like you say – but DS being a good team – got creative and won the game.
I didn’t know the Pats cheated when I wrote my message – take them cheatin Elvis Helmits down – I’m with you on that.
