Vick pleads not guilty, trail date set
The circus arrived in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday with its main clown front and center. Michael Vick and all three co-defendants pleaded not guilty to dogfighting related charges and asked for a jury trial.
Shocker. The trial is now set for November 26, which would be around the time Vick could have been helping the Falcons win football games (or lose them if his fumblitis and inaccurate throwing arm flared up), instead he’ll be knee deep in dog sh…ah never mind.
Ahh yes…their defense will be that all those dog carcasses were planted by the police. A bloody glove will turn up and they will blame it on racist cops too.

And Vick’s attorney’s name is Billy Martin…

Add the fact that they haven’t even said anything about illegal gambling yet. It’s all been focused on the dog fighting itself!
That’s a good point Dawg, because actually that’s what the feds are concerned with, not the cruelty to animals. If anything, they’re going to nail him on the seven-state illegal gambling ring that was set up and the dog fighting charges might only come into play during the sentencing process. The media tends to think this is about killing defenseless animals, but in fact that’s just the back story to the gambling.
Thats what the Vick Dream Team will try to do kids …… deflect the real problem with something not very relevant at all.
Actually, that’s what the feds will try to get him on, not the defense team. They’ll try to say he was innocent in everything…
The Vick case will not take long because the Fed Government has a 90% sucess rate in convictions. They don’t charge for nothing…….and I do believe that this guy is done with Football, Nike just cut him off and the others will follow.
This guy will be a trivia question in 10 yrs when he gets out.
PS. The gov also likes to add in tax evasion………even if you failed to pay on illegal gains..go figure
The poor slob in this (besides the dogs) will be Mr Blank and that’s too bad but this should serve as a real wake up call for the other owners
I’m with the Doc also – Mr Blank and the Atl Falcons fans take the beat down – it’s too bad because they supported this dude and he looks like he did them wrong.
I see a MAJOR plea bargain in this…….He won’t end up in jail, but he won’t play again. This has Darryl Strawberry written all over it. In 5 years he’ll be pennyless looking for coaching jobs, smoking crack, and hanging out with nasty ho’s.
The question is, will his possee be as loyal then?
