We hear how Yankee fans don't appreciate his talent but he makes it difficult with plays like this the other night and the ball slap against the Redsox. Real ballplayers don't need to resort to this kind of play...you can't imagine Pujols, Jeter, or Hunter doing this because they wouldn't even think of it. A little leaguer maybe...but not professional ballplayers who actually respect the game. The next evening during a Mets game, former pitcher Ron Darling said that if he were on the mound, he would have drilled the next batter (Giambi) and on his way to 1st tell him to thank A-Rod when he gets back to the dugout. Somebody please get Darling a glove... We’ve come to expect this type of play from April-Rod, haven’t we?
