With free agency at a standstill and rumors at an all time high, this is about the hardest time to predict how the first round of the NFL Draft will shake out. So hey, why not try and predict a few trades and have a little fun with it?
In my latest NFL Mock Draft, I’ve predicted two trades that will influence the top 10 as well as a small surprise for Brady Quinn. Click here to go to Bullz-Eye.com and view an updated mock.

I’m with you on the Green Bay pick – the Pack needs marquis talent in the backfield with soon to be 38 year old Favre as QB. If they can’t get Turner, I think they’d be well advised to go up and get Lynch if they think he’s he man everybody says he is.
There is a hitch here – not everybody wants to be in Green Bay. It’s great for small town types, blue collar guys or men with a family in mind, but a lot of these kids wanna see the lights. Those guys probably won’t be happy in northeastern Wisconsin.
My wish list – sign Turner, draft Ginn and get help at TE and S. If Ted Thompson can do that, I say the Packers take a wildcard and Favre rides into the playoffs for one last hurrah –
Let the era of Aaron Rogers begin with him being able to throw to Driver, Jennings, Ginn and a reformed Koren Robinson with a beast like Turner in the backfield and a solid O-line. That wouldn’t be a bad way to start playing QB in the NFL. Add a monster TE and Rogers could look like a stud by mid-season 2008.
Yes, ’tis true. Hope springs eternal when Spring breaks the ice in Wisconsin. Something about seeing the grass again about this time of year.
Jeff
Jeff,
You’ve got a pretty big wish list, but one that’s certainly not unrealistic. I think Ginn will be there at No. 16, but if the opportunity rises where either Lynch falls or GB can go up and get him, I think he’s got to be your first round pick. Morency is going to get the opportunity to carry the ball anywhere from 10 to 15 times a game, but honestly I don’t think he’s an every-down back yet.
As you noted though Jeff, if the Packers can get their hands on Michael Turner, him and Morency would be more than adequate. A little over a month ago, Turner wasn’t even an option, but I think the Chargers are quickly warming up to dealing him as the draft nears.
Your best case scenario for the Packers looks pretty good Jeff. For you, hopefully you get two or three of those pieces and Green Bay can compete like it did the back half of last season.
