Just two games on the schedule Thursday night, but they were both good matchups. The Pistons beat the Heat, 87-85, behind 24 points from Rip Hamilton. D-Wade had an awful night shooting (5-23), but finished with 21 points, eight assists and five boards. Miami falls to 6-9 while the Pistons move into first place in the Central with a 10-5 record.
In the other game, Kobe dropped 52 in the Lakers’ 132-102 rout of the Jazz. He shot 19-26 from the field and tied his own Laker record of 30 points in the third quarter. Carlos Boozer went for 26/7, but the Jazz just looked tired. It was the team’s fourth game in five days.
