College Football Game of the Week: (#3) West Virginia at (#5) Louisville
In honor of the 2006 College Football Season, Bullz-Eye.com will preview an up-and-coming game of the week, each week, for the entire length of the NCAA season.
Each week a game will be highlighted and broken down by each teams strengths and weaknesses vs. its opponent. Plus, no preview would be complete without a forecasted score – you’ll find a prediction on the game at Bullz-Eye.com as well.
This week, we give love to the Big East conference as West Virginia travels to Louisville to take on the Cardinals with huge BCS implications on the line. The winner of this contest has a real shot at a National Championship bid, while the loser will likely be bounced out of the top 10 come next Monday.
On tap this week: (#3) West Virginia at (#5) Louisville

You took the words out my mouth ” The last team to have the ball wins ” I know this is not a popular game for folks at Michigan and Ohio State and a few others, but I love this game – Good speed, good talent – it’s high-powered offense – and good defense ( against moderate opposition ). It’s a ” FUN ” game to watch – and the analyzers will all be out tomorrow. I’ll go with the Cards by 3.
Bay24,
I think you’re right on. Is it Ohio State-Michigan? Absolutely not. However, it should be a great game and to use your words exactly – a fun game to watch.

OK, it’s now the 4th Quarter and this game has gotten WAY out of hand! Much respect to the Big East teams for their offensive firepower but, I have one pressing issue with both teams…WHERE IS THE DEFENSE? This is a great game to watch for entertainment purposes but, can you seriously tell me that these offenses would find GAPING WIDE passing lanes and GINORMOUS running lanes against any other Top 10 team? Come on Big East…every run goes for at least 8yds and every pass easily breaks 13yds with turnovers being passed back and forth like hot potatoes. Heck, even kickoff coverage is poor. It seems that every kick is returned within a few yards of midfield with shoestring tackles saving this game from reaching the 90+point mark!
The play speaks for itself, I’m truly disappointed.
Wow John!
Check out my recap of this game, because you echoed my thoughts (or I echoed yours, haha) exactly…

Again, I’ll just say it would be a fun game to watch … and no, not as good as the Michigans and Ohio States of the world. Lets face it – The Big 10 has more ” meat ” than the Big East …. I think these teams are a notch below the others also – but I did enjoy the skill levels, especially on offense.
