Hey Ryan,

1) Relax - the Patriots don't really care if you defend them to the death.

2) Your sentence (if you can call it that) doesn't make any sense, so make sure you're always proofreading your work.

3) This article was written in 2006 - learn how to read the entire article from top to bottom before you start calling people names.

Touchdown 2006,

Thanks for the comment and I'm glad that you weren't completely sold on me demoting the 49ers, because hey, we all have our own opinions! It's great to hear how everybody else would rank the list...

To answer your question, you can always check out my criteria in the introduction about how I grade everything, but I mostly graded the o-line on the team's five starters. When I did the quarterbacks I really looked at the depth of each team's unit. But, after getting some recommendations from posters, I started concentrating on the starters more.

However, with the o-lines, I looked at some team's depth more closely when they were tight at the top 10. For example, Cincinnati and Denver really separated themselves from the rest of the top 10 because of each squad's depth.

Hopefully that answered your question...

-Anthony-

P.S. Big Stienny, the J.E.T.S actually have a decent line! I hammer them enough in my other rankings!

Thanks for the last two NFL reports........easy reading...to the point,

However, as a long time suffering J- E- T -S Fan I am suprised that my beloved Jet is not listed in the "worst of " catagory...the only thing I can think of is you can't rank a reciever if the QB can only throw for 8 yards at a time? .......and when it comes to O-Line mister, let me tell you that the JET belongs at the bottom here too.

Come on.....we have work for this since 1969 and demand that we and our entire organization is inculded from now on.

Can't wait to see the OB report...

Interesting breakdown and analysis. I think you bring the offensive line into a very intereting perspective here. I can't say I completely agree about the 49ers - they're pretty solid throughout the front five and they have a lot of options off the bench, as well. I'm curiuos - are you taking depth into account at all or is this strictly an assessment of each team's starting five?
