If I were a fan of the Houston Texans, I would have burned their stadium to the ground yesterday, after they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against the inept St. Louis Rams. They were up, what, 24-3? I understand the idea behind playing not to lose, as opposed to playing to win. But for the Texans to give up a lead like that, they must have been executing the ultimate prevent defense, one that prevents their opponents from punting. How embarrassing. Season ticket holders, revolt.

It’s hard to blame them, because the had to face the stud QB from Harvard!
As a Texans fan (and season ticket holder) I am aware that we dont win many games. SO when we come close like that, it does get frustrating. Two things cheer me up though. Number 1: We played well for just shy of three quarters. Number 2: We get Reggie Bush in the draft with the number one pick. Either him, or Davis can become trade bait. Perhaps for some nice o-line guys….
I’d think Davis would bring a lot via trade, so that could be a nice situation for you guys, JD.
My question is, who’s your quarterback? Can David Carr get the job done? I’m sure that’s the question floating around your front office right now since the Texans will have to choose between Bush and Matt Leinart in the draft.
I think Carr can play, he has progressed nicely the years he has been here, and while he wont be Montana or Young, he should be a worthy starter in this league. Some guys cant say that right now (Harrington). If he gets more than 1.5 seconds to find an open man, his arm is good. He keeps having to do 3 step drops and winging it out in the flat or on quick hitches. We need a deep ball threat.
