On Sunday, Daunte Culpepper’s nightmarish season came to a nightmarish end and Marion Barber (who?) ran roughshod over the Cardinals. What does all this mean for your fantasy team? Post all of your roster questions here.

Looks like Anquan is out for a bit, but thankfully not for the whole year. I need a decent WR to shore me up until he gets back. Here is my current offensive roster:
T. Green
S. Moss
A. Boldin
T. Houshmandzadeh
T. Barber
R. Brown
H. Miller
C. Martin
Ro. Smith (bye week)
R. McMichael
A. Bryant
B. Johnson
R. Ferguson (out for a few more weeks)
As you can see, once Ferguson is back, I’m pretty OK. But I have 3 WR spots to cover and then the W/R flex spot. To what extent should I trust A. Bryant to give me the points I need to win over the next 2 or 3 weeks?
I am willing to trade away C. Martin to get a decent WR. Who do you recommend I go after? I’d also be willing to throw in McMichael to sweeten the deal as I’m happy to stick with Miller now for the rest of the season.
It looks like you’d just need Bryant this week to cover that third WR spot, then you’d be able to run Moss, Housh and Smith out there with Barber, Brown and Martin. It’s unclear when Ferguson is going to come back – I’ve heard conflicting reports. He’s saying he may be ready this week but others are saying 2-3 more weeks. But like you said, once he does, you are in good shape. Unless you can get a good WR for Martin, I’d probably just stand pat. Including McMichael sounds like a good idea, but if Miller goes down, you are going to be behind the 8 ball. You’ve got nice depth at all positions (except for QB) so you should be good to go for the rest of the year.
Thanks for the tips. Granted if Green goes out I am in a whole lot of trouble. Even if he doesn’t, I’m still struggling at QB. I’ll stick with my lineup for this week and see how it goes.
Who should get the start: Farve vs. Pitt or Brad Johnson vs. Detroit. I know the Lions are hurting on the DEF side and Pitt stopped Carson Palmer pretty good. I’m just worried that Johnson is a little rusty.
I’d like to see BJ have a good game or two before trusting him with the starting spot. I’d stick with Favre who is playing at home. I expect him to bounce back with a decent to good game after his 5 interceptions against Cincy.
I too have a question regarding a start of BJ. My other qb is Brunell vs Philly. Before l/w there was no question, should I have one now?
I would stick with Brunell. He’s played very well this season and last week seemed like more of an aberration than a trend. If he has another poor game and BJ does well against DET, then I would start thinking about playing whoever has the best matchup. Brunell actually has the better matchup this week.
trade?
horn & taylor (or dunn) for r.moss & m.anderson. i need a win t/w, & if i trade one of these rb’s i must play s.davis vs t-bay ( j.jones is my rb on a bye/hurt). also, if i do not trade, do i play horn (bears) or porter (kc)?
I’d stick with Horn, Taylor and Dunn. Randy Moss hasn’t lived up to expectations this year and is constantly dinged up – besides the Raiders are more of a running team right now. Horn came back last week and played pretty well. If you don’t trade, keep an eye on R. Moss status and let that determine whether or not to play Porter. I’d go with Horn if Moss is expected to play. Horn is much more reliable than Porter and he doesn’t have a bad matchup against CHI.
